Message It's hard to see for sure what benefit reducing rotating mass has on your power put to the ground, since it technically doesn't sap HP, it stores it. You get that power back. Heavy flywheels and pulleys act like a capacitor for HP, if you follow what I'm saying.


It is easier to see the HP gains from reducing parasitic losses, because that's just power lost.
